Notion AI Summary

I asked AI, using Copilot, to offer three uses of Notion.AI for an organization like pocomms.com. I began with the following agent setup:

“What are three ways I can use Notion.AI to help organize pocomms.com as an organization?”

The initial response I received was the following: (I’ve added my own commentary along the way.)

Build a Smart Internal Knowledge Hub With Notion AI

Use Notion AI to create and maintain a centralized knowledge base for your team:

  • Auto-summarize documents: Upload PDFs or long-form content and let Notion AI generate concise summaries.
  • Generate SOPs and guides: Prompt AI to draft onboarding materials, brand guidelines, or client communication protocols.
  • Translate content: Keep global teams aligned by translating internal docs with one click.

This helps new hires ramp up faster and ensures everyone’s working from the same playbook.

Commentary:

When it comes to PO Controls, a new division of PO Communications, SOPs and Guides are vital to the training programs. Creating them can be tedious and filled with a lot of detail. Creating drafts can go a long way in making the final product.

Another aspect that could prove useful would be summarizing large documents. For instance, when I look at a technical manual, the idea of reading the whole thing seems ridiculous. Getting a summary instead might be the way to go.

Streamline Project & Task Management

Notion AI can supercharge your workflows:

  • Generate project briefs from simple prompts or meeting notes.
  • Auto-tag and prioritize tasks based on urgency or category.
  • Create dashboards that summarize progress across departments using AI-generated insights.

It’s like having a project manager built into your workspace.

Commentary:

Wouldn’t that be great? I know that I can use a lot of help with project management. Taking scheduling off my plate means I can focus on the content instead.

Enhance Content Creation for Your Website & Blog

Our website includes a blog, meaning these items can apply to our content:

  • Draft articles or announcements with AI based on bullet points or rough ideas.
  • Repurpose internal updates into polished external posts.
  • Maintain brand voice by training Notion AI to write in your preferred style.

You can even use Notion as a headless CMS to power your site with dynamic content.

Commentary:

This last bullet point intrigues me. By training Notion AI to write the way I want it to, I can get it to polish my ideas without having to go through 6, 8, or even 10 revisions to something I’ve written. Granted, it may take some time to train the system. However, since I have 30 or more blog posts already, I can feed that information to it, giving it a head start on learning. The more information I give it, the faster it should learn.

This could end up saving a lot of hours

My Take on Notion AI

In some ways, it’s similar to other AI options. By creating agents, you can get similar results from programs like Copilot and Gemini. I have yet to teach Notion AI how to write like I’d like things to be written. In the future, I may share results based on this.

What have you done today to improve your knowledge of AI? It’s not too late. Take some time, even 15 minutes, to watch a YouTube video on an AI channel. It can help streamline your workflows throughout the day.
