PO Communications consults with businesses for their communications strategy and needs.
Additionally, we offer training and programming services on automation systems from Rockwell Automation. This includes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Aquisition (SCADA). Also included is the programming of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Why Both?
I spent 27 years at a Fortune 500 company, and two newspapers working in automation controls. 15 of those years were spent developing a training department for engineering and maintenance personnel. Training included: Rockwell Automation systems: ControlLogix (Studio 5000) , PLC-3, PLC-5, SLC-500, AutoMax, PanelView/PanelView Plus, Vision Systems, and more. The audience was mainly the local plant, however, word got out, and it expanded to other plants and to international audiences from Mexico, Germany, Great Britain, and more. Meet Our Founder
Patrick: Church & Nonprofit Communications Specialist
Patrick brings a unique blend of technical expertise and ministry understanding to his work as a communications strategist. This is complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Emerging Media and Communications from the University of Texas at Dallas.
A proud US Navy veteran, he has spent over 15 years helping churches and nonprofit organizations effectively share their message and mission.
His journey in church communications began in 2010 when his wife, Rev. Sharon O’Connor, was appointed Senior Pastor of a smaller congregation. Patrick stepped in to manage their technology needs, from graphic design and website development to newsletters and weekly bulletins.
Things Change
As his experience grew, Patrick expanded his services to include website development and content creation for a nonprofit in Plano, TX, while also supporting various church clients and small businesses with their communications needs.
When Rev. Sharon was later appointed to a large congregation, Patrick became the Communications Director for a separate medium-sized church. While there, he developed and implemented a live streaming service, overseeing all aspects of the church’s communications strategy.
